Project cargo
We specialize in complex services of the Project Cargo type (door-to-door transport). These services require a combination of several different types of transport. So, depending upon the size or weight of a particular cargo, it will be transported: by road, sea, on inland waters and/or by rail.
Such enormous transport projects require the use of special logistics, accurate planning and flawless coordination of the project.
Often transport, especially at international level, may require the transfer of industrial objects, or equipment necessary on a large building site e.g. parts for a new industrial object, etc… These may have to be brought in from several different locations.
The means of transport is chosen after considering the economical criteria for safety and the existence of an appropriate infrastructure; solid roads, adequate access for high volumes or load, quay or mobile high capacity cranes and access to railways, etc.
Holleman’s accurate planning of each individual assignment ensures the client, apart from the cargo transport as such and other services required under complex projects: the loading and unloading of the cargo by means of special cranes, the procurement of special permits, the disconnection of networks (electrical, phone, fibre optic, road infrastructure, etc), civil escort, police escort, and en-route technical assistance.
