Holleman, the most important company in the industry of heavy and oversized transportation on Romanian and East European market is a name with international resonance:*, specialized in oversized transportations and exceeded weights, internal and international, project cargo and industrial movements.

Incorporated in 1997, having as main shareholder a Dutch company, Holleman Holding By, the company with the seat near Bucharest has developed fast, due to quality services, seriousness and fulfilment of promises made to clients in the entire Europe. Mr. George Nita, general manager of the company Holleman, believes in professionalism and seriousness as sole engines of a serious business: ,,I permanently believed in professionalism and we maintained all the time the passion for our activity. In 2004, we had the opportunity to complete our local experience with the knowledge and resources of the company Peter Schwandner Transport + Logistik GmbH, the involvement of the German investor who is currently holding half of the company’s shares insuring a progress and another dimension to the business ". But Holleman is not only a specialised carrier of class, its services include as well activities of multi-brand reparations and maintenance, both for tractors, buses, and for tows and semi-tows, being also repaired equipments for constructions. The service located on Soseaua de Centura nr.29, commune Jilava Ilfov, has a surface dedicated to service activity of 1,900 mp this including four channels of 50 metres length. In order to perform the dimension of service, it must be said that one may repair here up to eight assemblies of tractor head and semi-tow. And for the services to be complete, here is also an ITP station, and an automat washing house.

Machines and devices: What represents the international activity of the company managed by you?

George Nita: We have become a multinational company with operations in Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Ukraine, Hungary and Moldavia Republic. Our position of leader-company in heavy transportation in Romania and Eastern Europe is due to the exploitation of the most performing specialized rolling stock in this geographical area, result of one of the greatest investments performed in the field, which exceeds 8 million Euro, but mainly of a dedicated team, well-prepared and experienced.

Also, the operation of a software program conceived specially for internal processes of business insure us a competitive advantage on market, offering major benefits to our clients: a flow of communication without blockages, a good management of orders, the reduction of the terms in the actions involved, etc. We know permanently where each vehicle from our shipping is and how many kilometres they have to travel until the objective, each truck being endowed with a system of supervision by satellite. M&U: Holleman is more than a specialised carrier, it also insures the movement and montage of equipments of high dimensions as well as industrial relocations. What do these operations practically involve ?

G.N.: We have noticed that it is necessary something special for handling and positioning different equipments inside halls, there where, for instance, the cranes having to work with the arm descended due to low height can no longer offer enough force of elevation. Before any movement, handling or positioning, we approach the work in terms of a certain algorithm, which contains an offer demand from the client, with data as complete as possible, then having as well the first information and discussions; the inspection of the place of works and the gathering of detailed information; the conceiving of an execution project and the calculation of prices; the planning of necessary specialised staff and equipments from the endowment of the company, proper for project; coordination of the project with the client, common plan of labour protection, training the staff concerning the fulfilment of internal regulation of clients. Therefore, we insure not only movement and montage, but also the safety of those involved in these projects, most of the time being complex teams, which include as well representatives of beneficiary.

M&U: Do the movements of industrial objectives mean as well the demounting and mounting of a line of production, even from a country to another? Considering that many components, assemblies, parts, accessories which must be demounted, packed and put to their place in other location, seems an extremely complicated work.

G. N.: We support our clients who demand the relocation of equipments, of manufacturing lines, etc. form a place to another, in the same building, from a building to another, situated in the same location, in the same town, in the same country or in different countries. Our specialists take over the equipments in operational state, measuring the work parameters, performing sets of samples, then they disconnect them from agents, demount them if necessary, and then they handle and prepare them for transportation. On destination, they perform all activities reversely, until the putting into operation.

M&U: The constructions represent, even during this crisis moments, a basic element in the industry of any country. The company Holleman offers currently not only transportation services for any equipment, regardless its size, but also service, covering thus an important segment of industrial activity. What kind of works do you provide in your own service?

G.N.: An extremely wide range, which cover works of periodical maintenance and general reparations, of maintenance and complex reparations of engines, installations of air and breaking, electric installations, gear boxes or differentials. We also insure any kind of reparation or maintenance on rolling train. For trucks, we perform verifications and adjustments of direction both for tractor head and for semi-tows. Further on, we perform HP revisions, turnery, ironware and tinner works.

M&U: The commercial vehicles need most of the time works of maintenance or intervention even on site. Can you perform such works?

G.N.: Of course. We insure permanent works of intervention with the help of mobile workrooms. All companies which resort to the specialised service may choose between original parts from manufacturers and OEMs, benefiting at the same time by their warranty. And since service activity is permanently developing at Holeman, soon the service will be provided a professional dye house and the extension of tinner activity. In the future, the service will complete the offer for clients with a gas station and a restaurant.
