With this device, there may be performed operations such as:

  • Movement with weight lifted by the gantry crane (e.g. across a foundation)
  • Lowering / removal of industrial equipment into / from the foundations
  • Passage from vertical to horizontal or the reverse of some equipment (such as vertical presses)
  • The propping-up of bridges for special transports
  • Loading and unloading of equipment or objects onto / from the trailer.

Holleman holds two complete mobile hydraulic portals, which can operate independently. Each portal is made of two multiple extendable cylinders and a girder with lifting elements.

The maximum capacity of the two portals is 320 tons (80 tons per cylinder). Moreover it is possible, through the addition of intermediate elements between the cylinder bottoms and the carriers, to achieve a total height larger than that of one of the extended cylinders.

Each portal may be fitted, with the help of horizontal cylinders, on the horizontal plane on special designed bearing races. The moving of cargo may also be performed across the portal girders by means of running gears mounted on the girder below the upper part of the lifting elements of the portals.

Holleman possesses electrical generators ensuring the supply of electricity to mobile hydraulic portals at any location.
